St. Jack.

This restaurant is a cozy French cafe inspired by Lyon flavors, serving exuberant and rustic cuisine. St. Jack is open for both indoor and outdoor (which is heated) dining. A meal at this restaurant feels celebratory because of the gorgeous plates and glasses of champagne on the tables in the cozy and bustling dining room. Their daily menu features classical dishes stunningly done, including steak Frites with on-point red wine, tangy béarnaise, and chicken liver mousse, which is velvety and has a sweet similar to ice cream flavor. Ken’s pizzeria is located on Southeast 28th Avenue and hails from Ken Forkish, the best baker in Portland, and James Beard (two-time award-winning chef). Ken Forkish spent twenty years in baking, perfecting the pizza dough at Ken’s Artisan Pizza before moving to Hawaii. This classic pizza parlor is Italian-inspired with an American accent and has the perfect dough, making it the best pizza place in Portland. The fermented dough mix creates large fresh bubbles within the crust, skillfully seared in a wood-fired oven after garnishing with locally sourced ingredients. These ingredients include cheese, meat toppings, olives, tomatoes, and onions, to say a few. Malka Restaurant.

Malka is located on Division Street, a new friendly restaurant serving Asian and South American cuisines. Malka was started by Portland’s famous Carte Blanche food cart owners, and it was a massive milestone from day one. The Malka’s distinctive eatery flavors with a classical twist make their dishes delicious. One of their favorite go-to meals is the “Helmet for Outer Space, ” a bowl of rice garnished with savory pork and fresh vegetables. Although the restaurant is not open for indoor dining, you can make an order via a call. 

Eem Restaurant.

Item is a Thai restaurant perfect for drinking unique cocktails and hangouts for game dates. The restaurant was born out of the fusion of Eric Nelson’s spirited drinks, Earl Ninsom’s salad and curry, Colin Yoshimoto’s nibbles and fried chicken, and Matt Vicedomini’s smoked meats. The outcome menu truly perceives and connects all these owners’ voices mixed with fried rice, shishito peppers, and brisket in a sweet coconut milk curry. Besides their enticing menu, Eem is a laid-back place where every employee and customer matters and thus are treated with uttermost respect. Eem restaurant is open for takeout, indoor and outdoor (in heated pods). Indoor and outdoor dining are only permitted with proof of vaccination against Covid-19. 

Toki Restaurant.

Han Oak first opened Toki restaurant on 12th Avenue in Portland. The eatery started small with a few witty casual snacks, including steamed bun dry age beef cheeseburgers, Korean chicken, and sandwiches heaped with koji-cured pork belly. Toki has expanded into a restaurant with a menu with a vast range of skillful talent in the kitchen. Han oak’s magic hand has converted the restaurant into a timely dining climate. Toki restaurant offers services for indoor dining, delivery, and takeout with proof of vaccination. 

Canard Restaurant.

Canard is a French restaurant perfect for brunch, happy hour, small plates, and the best cocktails in Portland. This tiny spot from the same company as Le Pigeon balances French food and what you yearn for after a night out drinks. These include duck stack-like food: ham jam sandwiches with prosciutto and goat cheese butter, pancakes with garnished duck egg, throttled with gravy, and topped with foie gras as an optional. In addition to serving brunch, they also offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 

Kachka Restaurant.

Kachka, located in the Southeast, is a Russian-inspired restaurant perfect for a distinctive dining experience and special occasions. The menu from this dining spot includes dishes like; borsch, Herring beneath a fur coat of vibrant seven-layered salad, and pan-fried dumplings, all of which are recipes from the chef’s mother. Kachka is also a perfect spot for starting a night out with some fun food and spirited drinks.
